Today is the birthday of two great artists. My cousin Jasmine and brother Alan. People like me would not be loved, nurtured, and supported as well if these two givers and nurturers were not here. I am honored to call them family. Happy Birthday!
Sometimes it feels good to me to paint outside for a change. Like the outside of the house. The siding, trim, pillars, mailbox, anything...or just small chipped, worn, bare sections. Sometimes for me, Sundays are just good days to paint and putter.
It was a golden evening. Hiking back, we stopped and sat to watch the ever growing pretty sunset. Everything glowed. I was with my sweet son and our dog Cisco. I was blessed by this time together. It was like God painted and sprinkled gold all over us.
"Gold and silver, I have none,
Name and power-I am no one.
But to God, I am loved
and was saved as if the only one."
"By the river, there I sat down, yes, I wept, when I remembered...I hung my harp upon the poplar tree in the midst of everything. But there he required of me a song; saying, 'Sing one of your songs.' But how can I sing?" Psalm 137:1-4
